A writer who “doesn’t have time to read” is the most detestable of creatures.  He is like a lumberjack who insists on chopping wood with a dull-edged blade, and will eventually cut his leg off as penance for such stupidity.  Everyone has time to read, if they want to.  Let me repeat that:  Everyone has time to read.
